There's a new Carmageddon based project aiming to recreate all it's functions from scratch by using modern technologies to achieve that. The new project will be compatible with old game data and will work on most of the systems including modern Linux installations.

A polish development team called BetaCraft recently released a new Minecraft launcher where it has most of old Minecraft versions including those no longer available in official Minecraft launcher now to be available to play.
